I couldn't shake up any interest in a free boat ride and halibut dive so I went solo on the kayak.  Beautiful day.  Light fog, flat water,  gray whale doodling around the red buoy, elk on the hill, coyote next to the water,  bait fish squirting out of the sand, Hundreds of dungeness,  thousands of  12" jelly fish to slalom through, one halibut.    Dave

Absolutely fearless!
Do you anchor your kayak, while you are hunting halibut?

I use my kayak as my buoy.  I got the fish on scuba.  The fish weighed exactly 20#'s in my right hand and 23#'s in my left.  Viz was 6 to 10 feet.  Dave

That's the best AOTY measurement I've seen!  Congrats on the fish.  Any day in the ocean is a great day.
