OAK Airport Mon 12/12 Report

Perfect glassy conditions in the bay, big tide swing, no wind.... but no sturgeon love either.  I had a few nibbles and one good bite which didn't stick.  I felt the something pick it up, I set the hook, felt my rod load up, and I watched my line start to straighten out.... but before it got to the end, it popped off.  My hookset probably wasn't hard enough.  It could have been a bat ray, shark, striper, or maybe my first legal dino.  I'll never know.

I have a couple weeks off starting on the 23rd. I need to get out there.  I am in search of my first dino too.
