scrambler xt is an OK model that has been out for many many years.  so it could be really old, or really new.  I don't know when they retired the XT, but they still sell an XT angler edition.

not sure about that length though, i think they are usually shorter than 13'.  very common beginners kayak since they are less in cost than other models.

Gee ... that is a really helpful statement bmb.

Guitarzan ... old style logos.  I'm not sure when they switched over, but it is at least 7-8 years ago if not more.  The Scrambler XT should be a 12' kayak.

I have the scrambler xt that I also got from my neighbor.  She gave it up free, I drilled some holes and put some rod holders and a seat in it.  Its ok, its nice to start out with, but now after a few windy days Ive realized I need to step up my game.  It is also small, 12' and the seat area is narrow.  im 6'3 and 210 lbs and it gets pretty uncomfortable and fills with water.  I paddled my buddy's trident prowler and almost no water came through the scuppers, it was way more stable, and a breeze to paddle.  the scrambler does work fine, and if you get a deal it's nice to have something to beat up.  Im still fishin in it, at least till i can get to Hobie town!!!!! Good luck!

The XT is a very stable boat that is excellent for beginners and divers (including scuba).  It is super stable.  It's also super slow.  As a diving or fishing platform where you're only going a couple of miles round trip it works good.  Any distance runs in the wind and you're hating it.  I have one as a guest boat and it works great.

if you can get it cheap..... definitely worth it......and they are indestructible.
