Went to  Montara and HMB to try some perch fishing.  Got there about 0630.  Sun was not up yet and we were the only ones on the beach.  Some big waves, but no wind.  Fished for about 3 hours using grubs on a Carolina rig, squid, and even a standard 2 hook surf rig with NO LOCK at ALL!  Went over to the jetty by the harbor and tried for a while with still no luck.  Same on the beach south of the harbor. Zilch!  Have to try it again soon.  BTW, wish I brought my yak, because it was flat calm all the way to the buoy.  It warmed up pretty well also.  Great day topped off with Fish and Chips and a couple of Foster's at Barbara's fish trap.  Beats being at work...

Jody - try Rockaway Beach next time. It's about 5+ miles North of Montara Beach. The swells are usually smaller there.
