Hobie Dave, Sonny, Flyingfish roe and I will be meeting at Lawson's Landing Friday, 6/25 at 6:00 A.M. when the gates open.  The low tide is at 6:00 so the clamming will have to be quick.  After the clamming is done, we plan to head over to Miller and jig up some Halibut bait and hunt for the big butts.  Company welcome!  We will be on channel 69.

This will be my first time clamming but Dave sent me this:
scrounge around for metel shish kabob skewers. Bamboo won't be strong enough. This will keep neck from retracting into hole. Also look for a good scooper to work out water and sandy/course mud. A strong handle helps as well as a rigid plastic. Sonny used one that he found in asian market. It's used for bathrooms to scoop water in bath tub. Good volume cuz lots of water always seeps in but small enough to work tight hole.
Lastly we need to bring spare lumber like 2x6 to place ontop of tubes as we stand on it to drive down. I have some 2x4s but maybe Dave has the later. And of couse shovels.

I will use my OK Malibu since it's mainly to cross water channel.

Miller is a few miles South? of Lawson's.  We will drive there and launch at Miller Park.

I am going to bring the tandem yak again since we'll need the cargo space for the tubes..
but that will mean my fish at Miller will be w/o FF.
I will bring seasoned rice w/ nori to eat with the freh sashimi...(hopefully) plus my trader joes brews..do you think drinking before 9 am is wrong?

I will be suited up ready to hit water as gate opens.

It will be noon on the East coast.  As much as you travel through the time zones, I would think it would be OK.

I'll use super light gears to get out to the clam bed fast to scout/mark the area for you guys.  When you get to the clam bed, just start "digging"  :smt003

We'll be at the gate before 6am.  Google "Lawson's Landing" for disrection.  You can follow us to Miller Park which is not too far from Lawson's Landing.  Below is the link from Google map:
