Dove Coral st in Monterey yesterday with A fellow Spearboard member. Got to the water around ten thirty to find epic conditions. It felt great to get in the water again. We paddled straight out about 150 yards and started our dive. The vis was great and the scenery was epic! Swimming threw the giant kelp beds is remarcable. Not seeing much fish life I decided to head in A little shallower.Went to about fifteen feet and started seeing fish. After not pulling the trigger in A month or so I was excited to spot A cabbie in range. Wham! Right between the eyes. He measured seventeen inches. I was stoked. Proceded to shoot A kelp greenling around fifteen inches. Shot two grassies and one rubberlip. My dive buddie shot A kelpie and some small rockfish, we had A great time. Sorry no carnage shots, my camera is MIA....Andy

Right on Andy! You should be on team get some! I've noticed that there are always fish in shallower, out deep are various rock structures that are good from a kayak. Must have felt real good to pull that trigger! I also thought of this song when you said MIA.
