I met up with Hobie Dave and Jedmo and their families at Lawson's Landing.  It was a day trip for me but the others were camping for a couple of nights.  We launched to very calm conditions at about 8:00.  Dave and I cautiously ventured out of the Bay for a little while but the waves were pretty big and breaking in a couple of directions so we moved back to the bay.  There was almost no bait in  the water and the Sabikis failed to catch anything.  The Halibut never showed up either.  Jedmo hooked a nice bat ray and went for a slay ride before getting the ray to the side of his yak to be released.  It was a beautiful day on the water and great spending  time with Jedmo and his family and Dave and Pam but no fish were caught.  There were a few PBs in the area but they didn't seem to be doing any better than us.  There were a fair number of keeper Dungies and Red crabs caught by the people in the camp ground, although Dave's pots seemed to be attracting the undersize crabs.

Sorry I couldn't join you guys.  Promised a friend to help him pull-out all his crab pots in Bodega bay since it's almost end of crabbing season.  We trolled for Salmon in the morning.  I was busy fighting my Salmon while Dave's calling me on my cell.  Got it in the box so I called him back while he's having a fish-on but lost it (please don't blame me)  :smt003  We ended the day with 2 Salmons (12lb & 15lb) and lost 2 BIG ones.  Thanks for the report and pictures Martin.

Good going Sonny, glad you scored. Martin much thanks you for joining us and posting/w pictures. I feel bad that we returned too late to prepare the promised feast. After you headed home a powerboat neighbor gifted us with two gallon sized bags of cooked/cleaned huge rock crab. So we still got to eat. Late, but good. The major cookout occured Sunday afternoon, after a walk over the dunes to the beach. Although if Jed doesn't have any pictures it never happened. We accidentally deleted all our pictures, bummed! Jed, Kim and family a fun camping trip we had with you, thanks for sharing. the fun and food. Here is pictures from the waterproof. dave...

Thanks Dave and Pam for the wonderful time we all had at Tomales Bay. The
children want to especially thank you both for being such great couple. I wished
the fishing and crabbing was better but hey, that would just have been  a
bonus being there enjoying each others company. Thank God also for that
generous man who share his red crabs with us. Man, the children were having a
ball eating them up. :smt001

I only managed to catch a batray but that was a lot of fun being towed around for a while. Released of course after removing the hook and off she goes. Glad you
were able to make it Martin. See at the next hookup.

How goes it Dave? :smt006 The R\V is Dave's and the popup is mine. My mother in
law was generous enough to just let us have it in exchange for some work on her
rental property in Angels Camp.
