Hey kayakers,
newbie here, thought I should introduce myself! Just started kayaking last year, still do not own kayak but i like to rent when i have the money. I like fishing for halis in the summer and when I move back to humboldt for school (fish biology)in the late summer I plan on slaying some lings/rockies/pacific halis . By the way, my name is Jesse and I hope to learn a lot from you guys and hopefully see you on the water!

WTTM! - there is a good group of local NCKA madmen up there in Humboldt county as well as some travellers who trek to a couple especially good spots from time-to-time during season, I hope to meet you on the water!
Cheers!

What is your paddling experience? Might want to consider taking an intro to kayaking class from a reputable Kayak shop before heading out. Proper paddling skills, self rescue, dressing for immersion are a few skills you'll need to learn before getting out there. You want to be a "paddler" first and a "fisherman" second.

Good luck!

Welcome aboard Jesse.  Take your time and cruising around this site.  Lots of useful information here.
