Fished DV yesterday for two LMB. One on a brush hog the other on a bluegill imitation rattle trap. I forgot about the holiday weekend and the place was packed. Not fisherman but swimmers, boaters, rental yaks and just to many people. I had a great time considering I usually get skunked in the pay-n-play lakes.

I was there also test peddling a Hobie, I saw you banning the banks. That place was a zoo when we left around 1:00 the line to get in was about a mile ++++ long NUTS :smt011.

Glad you caught some fish there.  Thanks for the report and pictures Ramsey.

I was there on the 29th - not nearly as crowded. Tried the south end all the way up past the bridge, cause I'd heard the fish were up there. Hardly anything reading on the FF. I had one bright spot, a 13" slab - Bluegill. The biggest bluegill I've ever caught and my first fish trolling from a yak. Headed back into the wind and read a lot of fish accross from Hetch Hetchy but by that time 11:30+ the bite was off. Saw one old timer in a gray Hobie land a 8 - 10 pound stripper just south of Hetch Hetchy camp.

In the game of biggest fish, if you can't enjoy routinely gettin' your ass handed to you, by great fishermen, then you don't belong in the NCKA.

I was there also on Sunday fishing from shore just south of the boat launch.

It was real slow.

My buddy and I got two decent (13-14") trout each and my friend also caught two very large bluegill.

They were alot bigger than any I've seen before (...but they were still bluegill).

It was insanely crowded.

When we left at 1400 almost every available parking spot was taken and there was a line at the entrance gate about a 1/2 a mile long still trying to get in.

All fish caught on nighcrawlers.
