So Saturday I hit that charter boat with my friends for a good friends b-day!

Not a big charter guy, but the weather was killer and the beers were cold, and it was a blast..

Left Bezerkley and headed for the not so secret, secret spot... There was about 50 boats at peak time..

Fishing was a little slow, think we had 20 guys on the boat, and something like 12 fish caught (hali/striper)

I decided to bring my own rod, little bit stiffer, the lighter wight rods were really bouncing the bottom hard, mine had a nice smooth bounce, combo’d with my own hali rigs I scored from SCALLEN... For me, and pretty much only me, fishing was red hot, and I blame it on my rod and rigs... Thx Allen

Pretty much everybody hated me on that boat, most guys didn’t even get a nibble...

I killed it, lost 2 fish on quick bites, but I landed 1 – 2 – 3 Halibut, all nice size, and 1- Fat striper!

Good times, for me at least!! Gave some fish away to my homies, and still had a ton, what a feast I have been having, again tonight!

Brent WTG!!!

That's a nice-looking fish there.  Did you guys work Alameda and SF Airport areas?

Not on the Huck Finn by chance, with Jay Yok?

Allen,

Yeah i got 3 fish like that, one was slightly smaller., the striper was meaty too.

We went south, not sure exactly where...I could see oyster point way, way on the other side of the bay, we were a little north of that still.. We did fish more of the east side, but were pretty much right in the middle of the bay... I think every boat on the bay was there..

It was the CalDawn, I will say there burger is MIND BLOWING.... The guys were really nice, it was an adjustment fishing that close to so many people after countless yak trips where you fish solo. None the less fun. And I got halibut to eat for a few weeks!

I was that "other guy", i was actually kind of worried I'd get another, things were getting awkward :)
