Kayak fishing at Lake Chabot Vallejo

Got only 1 day off this week so decided to try my luck one more time to catch a Kitty at Lake Chabot.  My friend never fish from kayak wanted to tag along so I took my Hobie tandem to the lake with him in the afternoon.  I was surprised that half of the lake was coverred by thick weed (wasn't there earlier this month).  We saw many fish jumping/rolling by the weed beds so decided to paddle over to investigate    It turned out that those were BIG Carps doing their "dances"    Met a nice couple paddling around enjoying the nice afternoon on the lake.  I took a video which I will post later after uploaded to You Tube.  Later I tried the deep side of the lake, but no luck on the Kitty.  Below are some pictures of the day...

Looks like a great day, even though your nemesis the elusive Kitty still managed to avoid capture!!!
