Cambria 5-22

So It's been a while since I have posted, I have a new baby girl 4 months old so I have been lurking when I can... Finally got out yesterday.  My brother came down from frisco and we had been planning to fish all week.  i like everyone else saw the reports saying how crappy the weather was going to be but we went anyway.  saw no other boats yaks or otherwise at leffingwell, launched at 6:15.  the cove was not bad, wind was ~5 knots.  water clarity was actually decent, swell was pretty big but doable.  fished out front in 30-45fow.  My brother got the skunk but i for some reason was pretty lucky, Beginners luck seeing as how I had not been on the yak for almost a year .  managed a nice red, a legal cabby and a 24.5" ling.  also  a nice 15" greenling and one tiny little 6 inch gopher who went promptly back home.  off the water by 10 all though we probably should have been off by 930.  it was getting bad as we headed in.  forunately we stayed close to the launch and made it in in short order.  Pics to follow, my brother has them on his phone, just some beach pics but better than nothin.  Glad to be back on the water and contributing.   DP

Definitely down for a sur trip later this year, we got to get hog out there too, he has been slackin on his fishin', yak is collecting dust.  we'll do it for sure.  Once I get some dates agreeable with momma, I'll let you know.
