So I've been narrowing down my choices of kayak and currently at the forefront is the Hobie Revo - I've heard great things. I haven't had a chance to try one out, but in the meantime, I'm curious to hear from owners or those who've tested them if they think a Revo will accommodate the super long legs of someone who's 6'4" - almost 6'5". Even for someone who's as tall as I am, my legs are particularly long - they make up a lot of my height.

Thoughts? I know the pedals are adjustable, but even then, I have a feeling I'm going to be just a little too cramped. Not that worried, actually, because if worst comes to worst, I'll probably just end up with a Prowler or a Tarpon. Poor me. ; )

Comments much appreciated! Thanks.

I'm about 5' 10" and ride a REVO.  There's lots of room beyond my feet with my legs stretched all the way out.  I have the pedals set at 5 and there's a lot more room for shortening them for someone with longer legs.  You can demo a Revo at lake Del Valle any time.  I wouldn't by any yak without first demoing it.  I learned that the hard way.  The Revo is my second yak and could have been the first if I had only demo'd it.

Hi BassStalker,
I'm interested in what you find out. I'm 6'5" 36" inseam, and I'm trying to decide between a Trident 13 and a Hobie Outback or Revo. I'm leaning towards the Hobie's because I want to use it flyfishing for trout as well as fishing the local kelp/reefs around Santa Cruz.
I'm going to try and demo the Hobies soon.
Good Luck, Jim

I go 6'6" and I know what you mean about feeling a little cramped on the Revo. It's not that it wouldn't work but a little more room is nice. The Adventure really is the way to go. It gives you plenty of legroom for the taller pedaler and it plain hauls ass.

I am 6'4".  I have peddled a revo, and the oasis (tandem), and the adventure.  I now own the adventure.  Plenty of leg room for a 6'4" peddler.  I use the setting 6 most commonly and have tried the longest setting (7).  Setting seven feels almost too long, but its great to have a slightly different setting on long days, uses slightly different muscles and pressure points in the yak.

By comparison the tandem will absolutely wipe out your knees by the end of a 6 hr session on the water, its painful, for us taller people there simply in not enough room.

yep got a revo and I am 6'4" with a 36 inch in seam. I have the peddles on 6 (there is one notch longer). Never really felt cramped. And I have put 9+ miles in a single day. Its kinda like a bike. You don't want to FULLY extend. I also have a T13 and have no issues with leg room on that ride as well. I can't speak to the outback never peddled one.
