Went to trinidad today. Got on the water around 7:30, and headed for prisoner rock. Right off the bat hit a nice black, 15 or so minutes later hit a copper. Moved into the kelp an picked up 2 more lings an a black @ yellow.  Paddled out around the front of the head but got no bites so turned around and headed back to prisoner and pulled up another ling. It was a good way to start my season.

Right on!!!  Nice variety too.  Not that I'm picky, but seems the blacks and lings typically make up my stringer and it's nice to see a little color. Hope to make it over the hill soon.

Let me know if you make it over BeenFishin. Maybe we can hook up and drop the hammer on some fish

Pretty cool to get a report from Trinidad, thanks. How were the conditions? It sounded real flat this morning, but with rain a comin'. The rain kept me home.
If you don't know where you're headed, any road could get you there.

Your much awaited moment finally came and been rewarded well also.
Congrats and thanks for sharing the fun, report and pics.
Here, I'm now waiting for the salmon to come in closer as they are still 10~13 miles out but running shallow now as they are being caught 25'~40' down.

Going Fishing?
Winds from the south, hook in
    the mouth.
Wind from the east, bite the least.
Wind from the north, further off.
Wind from the west, bite the
    best.
