santa cruz- Wed. 5 19

    Fished out by the Mile buoy. Had a sardine marked up by what was probably a 20 lb or so halibut but the bait has been in the freezer since last season and I think was consequently not attractive enough to generate  interest.
    Fished  for a short while by the Black Point buoy for nada, but saw some harbor dolphins in that area who had found something or other interesting.

I know what you mean, I think every chewed up bait I've pulled in was mauled by a 20lb halibut
