Van Damme Friday Solo...

Left San Leandro around 0400 arrived @ Van Damme @ 0700. Lots of rockpickers out there take advantage of the -1 tide this moning. Suited up and jumped in, dove in 15'-20' h2o. Visibility wasn't that bad but the water was a little murky. Swam around to look for some rockfish but no one home so ended up bringing home limit of perches for some deep fried fish for dinner. Pulled my limit of abs but nothing to brag about. I wanted to go up to Shelter Cove for I already committed to do the safety escort boat tomorrow for my Outrigger Canoe Club. They are hosting the Alameda Triangle Long Distance race tomorrow by the ARW. So if any of you NCKA will be around the area, give me a shout on 69. Here are some pics.

Randall, it's going to be a lot of people at the ramp area, but onece you get out at the fishing ground, you will be alright. The race starts at 9:00am.
