Lower Napa River May 4th

   Sorry for the delayed report, and for the lack of reports lately.  Life is getting in the way, but mostly in a good way!

From Tuesday:
  Always nice parking your rig next to the shattered glass from some previous break in.  Generally speaking I feel fairly safe even though it is the launch ramp in vallejo.  Most docks have colorful charachters drawn to them and this is no exception.   By the time I had my yak ready and some frozen volunteers ready for duty I launched and went up river a few miles.  Fished from 3-7 in a few different spots with cut chovies on a tried and true set up to no avail.  Did catch one nice 18 inch fattie on the troll coming back in but unfortunately it freed itself before I could capture it's good side.   All in all as always great to be on the water and a good experience overall.   Jim
