Me and the wife went over to check out some kayaks at the PaddleFest at Quarry Lake in Fremont yesterday.  Talking about kayak city, there were all kinds of boat out there. Finally went over to the Hobie tent and met up with ChuckE. One thing to describe this guy " Class Act". ChuckE spent sometime with me talking about fishing and different kinds of kayaks for fishing and he finally let me tried out his own personal kayak "Hobie Adventure". After paddling his Adventure, this boat is dry and fast.  I can say that you can cover a lot of ground on this boat. Once again, mahalo to ChuckE for taking time to get me on that Adventure and I'm definitely impressed the way that boat moves. I will be owning one of those boat pretty soon.

Since I live 10 minutes away from Quarry Lakes, my wife let me sneak out yesterday to the Paddlefest. (I spent the whole day May 1st at fishing Stillwater South w/ the other ncka guys).  It was a pleasure learning new things from ChuckE specially about his crabbing setup.  What a wealth of knowlegdge this guy is!

I'm blushing from all of the compliments guys.  Thanks so much for coming out to the event.  Sunday was the better day.  Unfortunately, it was super slow on Saturday when Adam Fishunter and EricB came out to help.

Quarry Lakes is an excellent venue, but organizers need to work some kind of deal with the City of Fremont and/or the East Bay Regional Parks to reduce costs to entice more participants.
