I have a friend who has access to a place at Sea Ranch.

He invited me up May 28th- 30th.  We will be near the protected beach there for launching. I've never fished this area so I have no idea what to expect.

I checked the regs and it looks like rock fish season won't open in that area until June 13th.

It looks like my options will be crab and halibut.

What is the structure like in that area? Is it good for dropping pots and drifting for halibut? Is there anything else, other than Ab's, worth targeting up there this time of year?
