This question has been probably asked a million times before.  I lost my garmin entrex in the woods a couple of months ago and I'm bummed....especially because i lost all my way point data.

So, is the entrex still the way to go for cheap GPS and where's the best place to get a deal?

Dave

I got this one to replace my other garmin (etrex). So far its worked great. I am sure you can find it way cheaper.

Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.

Just placed an order for one at $181. That's crazy! Thanks for the heads up.

I've had great luck with the cheapest one of all.  Cobra GPS 100.  CNET kills it but mine works great and the interface is intuitive (for me at least).  I think it's cuz I have a mount that keeps it off the deck so the satellites stay connected.  The only downside is the cheap plastic face over the screen that scratches easily and makes it hard to see behind the scratch.
