I was driving home from dinner on Fri. night and got in a car accident.  Totaled my car, so I couldn't make it to HMB crabfest on Saturday.   :smt011

The other driver ran a redlight and I t-boned it.  My light had been green for a while so I had a full head of steam going across the intersection.  Just as I reached the intersection I saw that a car was moving full speed from my right.. collision was imminent.  I braked for a split second and we collided.  Now I know what an airbag deployment feels like.  My upper lip was tingling for 10 minutes.

Fortunately nobody was hurt, and I bought a truck the next day, 1993 toyota pickup 4x4, 5spd 22RE.   :smt001

Hope things with their insurance company goes better than the battle I am having.
Thirty seven days and I still don't have my vehicle back from the shop and the damage doesn't look all that bad but it sure took a toll on me. Not only that but the constant battle of them saying they won't pay for something, me arguing mt a$$ off and then having them pay sucks. Still arguing over the damage it caused to the transfer case.
I hope everyone is OK and definitely give it some time to make sure you are A-OK!

You are one lucky guy Marv. You were lucky you were in a german car. They are built for high speed collisions. They don't build Toyotas like the 1993 trucks anymore. at least you won't have to worry about the gas pedal sticking.  :smt005

Marv, I'm sorry to hear about your accident, but very glad you're okay.  That's used Toyota truck is great choice for a reliable kayak fishing rig.  We missed you at the Crabfest, but we're planning another this November.  That one will be bigger and even more fun.

Good to see you are alright. Those toys are bullit proof and will last long enough to give to the kids.
