Found this lake on accident today. Since the weather was shot today, the gf and I decided to do some exploring on some back country roads out of Copperopolis. Took this rough and winding road and ended up at Salt Spring Valley Resevoir and they were having a jetski course competition. We watched it for about an hour and did some more backroad exploring.

From the research I did, the lake has bass, crappie, blue gill and catfish. Boats are allowed and no ski boats. But jetskis are. Launch is $15 for car and $5 for boat. Bass is catch and release only.

I will be fishing this lake next week to see what it offers. It doesnt look like it has much structure other than the riprap of the rock dam. But you never know.

Damn looks like a lake to hit early in the morning before it gets crazy!

Let us know how you do when you go back.

Good luck Jeff, I hate jet-skis. They are one of the most annoying things on the planet. That is until I am driving one at 50MPH on flat water at Shasta. :smt006 :smt044 :smt044

Hey Jeff,

That lake is on my list to try out, but there are several ahead of it  :smt001 . I'm looking forward to what you think of it.

It looks like it could have some potential. Hopefully some good sight fishing. Just going to hit it midweek and search for the jetski race schedules   :smt004
