Just trying to see how this photos will come out - I tried to post pics before, but they were too big memory wise, and I had to play around with the software to get them smaller. I use Linux so I am still learning all of the different applications. One should come out Verticle and the other should be horizontal. I guess I will only find out once I post and then look myself.

looks good.  i generally post all my pictures to photobucket which automatically resizes them, then just use the [ img ] tag.  makes things easier and I retain full access to my pics that way.

I guess that I'm lucky as my camera (Olympus 550) has an internal feature that allows me to set the image size for e-mails or posting on websites (VGA 640X480).

If you run windows, this is the easiest way by far I have seen to resize images: http://www.vso-software.fr/products/image_resizer/  Completely free, intergrated into windows explorer with a right click on the files, you can resize them.  By default creates copies, with an advanced setting will resize the files as they are (no coppies!).

Cool, thanks for the info. I no longer use Windows but am getting familiar with the photo editing software for my OS. I too have that Olympus but I always have it set on high resolution. I may start changing the setting when on the water now so I can post without editing.

Al,
Thanks for the link.  Makes resizing much less complicated.
