Well yesterday i decided i needed to get back up to berry to Get My turkey, and asked MakinItCount if he wanted to roll! So off we are early today and i drop Gary off at the Oak Shores Day use Area to get an early start on them kokes while i go hunting!....well to make my hunt story short, the Turks found a way again to avoid Me!  :smt013...0 fo 2! Lots of birds up here tho! So got back to the truck and was back at Oak Shores and in the water by 9:00. Caught up with Gary and he already had 1 nice koke on the stringer! Trolled for a while until i got my first takedown, a nice 15.5in koke!  :smt002..trolled fo another hour and decided to work my way in cause that Damn wind started to pick up and all of a sudden i get slammed!! Rod is bent, line is peelin, and the fight is on. Get the fish to the boat and to my surprise it turns out to be a nice 17in. Holdover Rainbow! No lice on it either, so he goes on the stringer too! tried for bass near the launch ramp for about 10mins and hook 1 nice lil smallie! Called it quits after that and headed in!(2:00pm) Five hours of fishing for 1koke, 1SDR(koke)1Bow, and 1smallie! Not bad at all and it was all worth it! Gary too had more hookups and action but ill let him give his report! NEXT AWESOME ADVENTURE, CLEAR LAKE! CANT WAIT :smt003

Nice work...how did the smallie fight?  They always pull so hard and do some great jumps!  Thanks for the report.

even though the birds fool you again, nice catches!
Did you have any problem with floating algae again?

Little late posting..........I watched Ricci reel in both those fish and his rod was bendo both times, nice looking fish too! I also had two on the stringer, but on my way in when the wind picked up I looked down on my stringer and noticed only one fish  :smt011 I think I did too much damage to the 15" Koke while reeling him in. The double hook hoochie was missing a hook when I got him in the net. Lesson learned I guess! The green algae was pretty nasty too. Nice day on the water, and thanks for driving again Ricci! See you all at Clear Lake!!!!
