If you feed him good food, he'll be back and you can keep him for pet  :smt044

We had a whole family making a big mess eating walnuts from one of our trees a few years ago at the river. They would come every night and the babies would even get into fights over some of the nuts up in the tree. We would have shells, leaves and even small branches to clean up every morning. I must admit though they are cute and can pretty much get away with a lot of mischief because of that.

A friend of mine was up in Tahoe visiting her mom the other week.  They went up to the guest room and found a big ole fat raccoon asleep on the bed.  Judging from the scat around the room, it had discovered the doggy door a couple of weeks before and been coming and going as it pleased.  Apparently the dog didn't dare complain (it was a *really* big raccoon).

Hi Yakers:

Coons are cute when they are Young but, don't let your Dogs chase after them in the Water. The Coons are knowned for drowing Dogs and not to mess with when they get bigger.
In the past, I helped my Uncle train "Coon Hounds".

Cool neighbor!   :smt003

I lived near downtown San Jose in the early 90's.  Tall palm trees lined the street.  Oldgrowth ivy had enveloped the palm at the foot of my driveway.  In a congested area of town - 400 people living on my block! - a family of racoons inhabited that ivy way up in the palm.  It was pretty neat.  (until I cut the ivy, killing it, and effectively evicting the critters over the next few months as the ivy died and gradually blew off the tree).
