First let me say thanks to Troutnut for telling me about Russo's,  the Marina I was planning on going to was locked.
I launched at 5:00 and left at 1:00.  There was no action until 8:00 when my 4" watermelon with black and red flake senko suddenly had a two pound bass on the line. Every bite today was like that.  I never saw my line jump or felt a tap.
I got three on the tules in 5 or 6 fow,  two on rip rap after I paddled over to take a picture of a bird,  and two more after the sun got high off docks on my was back to russo's.   I lost one,  and  every bass was a high spirited keeper with the largest 17 inches.

Good report Opie.  Sounds like a solid day on the water!

I remember launching out of Russo's as a youngster for CSBA tournaments!  Ah, the good ole days.

Glad you had a good day catching fish.  The water looks so calm.  Thanks for the report and pictures Chris.

That's a good day on the water!  A lot of fish get released right in there after big boat tourneys.  Check behind the docks around there, too.

Thanks for the report.  Cool picture of that bird.

Ain't that place great? Glad you had a good time!

PS> the LMB fishing there just keeps getting better for the next 8 weeks! The weed bed directly across from the launch is a sleeper. All the bass released from the weekend tournaments hang out over there and around the docks for a few days. PLUS, it is a NO WAKE ZONE.

The guys at Hi's gave some 6" special order 9L"s.  They said they ordered them special for the delta,  so I guess I'll give them a chance Wednesday.
