If I remember right there are freshwater stripers there. The usual, drag minnows, or chase boils in the Summertime. I also think there's no limit, as there are so many small ones.
One should double-check this info before going afield.
If you don't know where you're headed, any road could get you there.

Use to fill a cooler once a week at least with the devils. Most were small in the 18 to 24 range but big guys were to be had got my fair share on 20lbs mooch in the summer in 80ft of water early in the day then get off the lake no place for a yakker to many damn idiots.

Used to water ski there years ago.  We always fished for Striper in the late afternoon and evening.  There are also a lot of Large Mouth Bass there.  I understand the water level is way down since the days i used to go there.  We always caught lots of Stripers.

Only fished it twice once spring once fall both times we fished the shallowest points we could find bordering deep water. It was pretty exciting we would just sit and wait for all the baitfish to go crazy then it was on. Watching stripers attacking from 3 sides was priceless. :smt007
Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

Lots of stripers, lots of large and smallmouth bass, lots of CARP as big as my DOGS. Good times. You should go. Bring some topwater lures, swimbaits, jigs, flies... you name it. Water is very clear, you can see 30+ feet deep. Powerboats are dangerous there. Lots of pretty young things in bikinis EVERYWHERE. Get there at dark o'clock, fish until about 9am, then float around the marina and girl watch. Drink beers and eat Mexican food all day, go back out last 3 hours of the day and fish until after dark. Most of the stripers hang in 15-25 FOW, with an island or drop offs nearby. Dropoffs can be 300+ feet!

There are a LOT of Stripers.

They have an inspection point on I-15 about 10 miles east of Barstow. ALL boats get stopped and inspected there.

Alan and I go through that checkpoint with yaks a couple times a year and we used to get inspected. The last couple years they just wave us through.  :yak
