Moochie - Don was saying to bring back that guy.

I guess he was replaced on future trips.

And I agree - that cat hooked it up.

The Cook we had on the 09 trip prepared excellent meals. Five star and humongous  portions. Every day were fresh baked goodies and breads. One of my favorites were the bagels, smoked salmon, capers, red onion and cream cheese delivered  on the water for a mid morning snack. One day they prepared a pasta plate with all the fixings and brought that out to me with fresh baits and a soda  as I wouldn't come back to the boat for lunch. Maybe it was the same cook you mentioned but he really had his act together. Oh, I was sad this years Islander was canceled.  :smt010

Got it.

That chef was great but definitely did not have any social skills.....I did not hear him say a single word the entire trip.

Copy Otto....  :smt002

That's Great to Hear, and that meal you posted did look Good....

But I feel I was the Marter for Him to get it together...

I could not get on the boat for lunch because swells became to high...

They said they would save my lunch... 3 hours later and 10 miles down the road i make it back to the Islander to find my lunch was tossed....

" No problem... said cook says.. Digs deep into the freezer and breaks out some frozen meatloaf that God knows how long was there...

sideline... I hate meatloaf if its fresh....   :smt002

Being very hungry and wanting to be nice... I ate it..... never felt the same thruout the entire trip, not to mention a Hurling session for 2/3 hours, and I missed dinner.

That, I guess, was a blessing.... the meal was nicknamed..  " Labia Chicken... "

Took out ChuckE and and a few others... I never saw it...  I began to think about the rest of the meals and how subpar they were...

I was told they were getting rid of him,...  But In light of what your saying..

It looks like all is well and Good to hear...  I would think that Shane would know what's right and make it so....

and ya the Great Cook from earlier years was silent....

Until we broke out " Bluewater Jon and the Big Tuna "... Video....

He was Going off...  " What a ASS$##@#!!!,  Is this Guy for Real???..."

He is really giving you guys a bad name....  I'd Throw him off the Boat!!!..."   :smt005

Etc... Etc,,...  It was Frigging Hilarious.......

That show was filmed on the Oct 09 Islander 6-day mothership to Cedros. NCKA was mentioned because those who went ARE hardcore. That trip never would have gone without your YT crazy friends on board.

Sean and I invited Jim Sammons and narrator / film maker Will Richardson along. We hope some of this footage will eventually get onto the internet for all to see, most especially those who made this epic journey.

The new chef was on his game in Oct. I didn't hear of any complaints or problems. A good guy too once we got to know him, fish crazy like everyone else on the boat.
