Not Kayak but made it out to the rock today for some nice diving.  The Redwood Empire Dive Club managed to launch two inflatables and my 15' Livingston to rendezvous at the small Arena Rock.  Scuba dove for limits of scallops and rockfish.  No pictures but maybe Abman will post the one of me in speedo's.  DcBatt

Congrat on the limits of Scallops.  How was the water temp. and visibility?

The vis was very dark at 100'.  Probably 25 'vis at 40' which is where I spent my time.  Water temp was comfortable.  Air temp was comfortable.  Seas were calm.  Just enough swell to find the rock from a distance.  DcBatt

What is the status of Arena Rock with the MLPAs?  Will it be open this year for fishing?

Scallop limit, damn! That pretty much sums it up. Great job getting out there. Definitely harder to get scallops than abs.

Arena Rock will be closed to all fishing next Wednesday.  We may have taken the last legal scallops from the rock.   DcBatt :smt010 :smt011 :smt013

I've got halibut in Tomales in May a few times but never in June when the water cools for a month.  Batt
