good fishing with you gus yesterday..thanks for the hookup dave and getting the scouting info.
it was thrilled to hook up  my virgin sturgeon although I know I am not worthy being a mere rookie. (he was only around 20 inches) he thrashed so much as I was trying to dehook him that the 2nd hook embedded deep into my finger. I wanted to take a snap shot of him with my phone but once the hook was deep in my flesh..my only thought was to send him on his way..

but thanks for all the pointers guys especially re: my bullshit Carlise anchor.. I definately will return with a proper one next time..and refine my QRAS...I need to work out my release rope so that the knot doesn't tangle....
good  experience for me to refine what works and what doesn't with my rigging.
thanks martin for loaning me the sturgeon rig too and for dave in providing me with some chain for the anchor.

the striper action was a blast too.. after cleaning them I found their bellies stuffed with our grass shrimp..those suckers were robbing us blind until I could figure out their subtle bites..
it was fun swinging for the fences.

when the water turned to glass and the wind was calm..it couldn't get more ideal conditions to be on the water.

look fwd to fishing with you guys again..

I thought going against the tide was planned, little exercise for the weekday crew. Enjoyed the day, wish I could have kept the flounders! Need to catch them near Sonny's town. Nice hang'n/w the guys. dave...
