I'm going to be down in Puerta Vallarta Maxico this summer for a week or two, and would love to have a yak down there.  We will be flying so cant take mine down with me. Been checking Mexico craigslist no no avail.Unfortunatly if it isnt a jet ski, or fast enough to run drugs in, then it isn't on Mexico craigslist.  So my question is does anybody own a boat or kayak near Puerta Vallarta i can borrow or rent? Or a freind who has one?  I dont want a guide every time i want to go out.  I see a million of those blue pangas lining the shore, but can't find a boat to rent by myself anywhere.

Help appreciated,
Mike

I haven't been there in 7 years +/- but when I was there I found hourly rentals in both Playa Las Animas and Yelapa.  You have to hire a panga to take you there.  The prices, like prices on just about everything there, are negotiable.

I was there last year and thought it was ok.  :smt012 I kayaked a bit at the Dreams resort for not great action.  I also took  the girlfriend on a cruiser which was just a fuel burnin bonita run.
If I were to go back, (and not likely) I would start researching guides and book at least one early in the trip.
