I am thinking of heading to The Ranch on Labor Day weekend, but I hear the fishing is significantly better during the hotter months of July, Aug and Sept. Gary, who books reservations for the Ranch,  says the fishing is always good, and most people base the trip on the weather, not the fishing, although the fish are schooled up in the hotter months and the catching is better.  I was wondering if anyone had any opinions, who have been there.  Thanks!  gabekap

Depend on which species are you after.  Check out this Baja Fish Calendar...

I have a friend who owns a house in Loreto. He's down there from the end of Jan to the first part of June when he says it starts getting too hot. He recommends May when the temps are still in the 80's and the fish are coming in closer to shore.
The fishing was so good I thought I was there yesterday!
