I am working with some folks at UCD and the Army Corp looking at dredging impacts on green sturgeon.  I could really use your input on where you have caught them in the past  and the future. If you have info, day or time of year,gps coordinates would be great. If you care to share please PM me.

Shoot Craig an email.  I recalled he caught one early this year and witnessed Steve caught another one at CC last week.

Last year (actually Jan of this year) I know a few were caught right by Oakland Airport. The launch right in front of Peets Coffee's HQ

Jan 18th 2009. 2-2.5 miles off of the north end of OAP in 20 ft of water. Approx length 48 inches. Caught by me

Nov 27th 2009 1 mile straight out from China Camp launch 12 ft of water also approx length 48 inches. Caught by SteveS

Jan. 2005 - caught (and released) one close to 30 inches. Location: San Pablo Bay - right by the Duck Blinds. Depth: 12 feet on the outgo tide. Time of day: early afternoon.

I have caught 3 or 4 over the years , all either at the MBF or Monte , never any size to them , under 20" as I recall .

Humboldt bay..arcata side. There is a hole we like to fish for shark an ray. Every time we go out there are sturgeon jumping everywhere. All good size.
