Went out to Portugese beach at about 8:00 AM and fished MORF grubs up and down the beach until about 10:30 or so.  Caught 10 perch total, 6 Walleye and 4 calicos.  Two of the Calico's were nice big slabs.

Then I moved to Salmon Creek Beach and worked my way south to bodega dunes picking up only a couple of walleye perch.

Left at about noon.

Nice day... all fish caught on 1.5" MORF grubs with #6 hook and 1/2 oz bullet weight, carolina rigged on 6# test maxima on my 8'3" Light steelhead rod rated for 4-10# line.

Nice way to spend the morning... looking forward to doing this more often this winter.

good going Erik!

I finally got my perch tackle set-up and I'm very happy with it. I'm using a Lamiglas 8'6" Northwest Special with a 4000 Shimano Spirex reel loaded with 20# power pro with a 5ft leader of 8# Seaguar Flourocabon line. I'll be scouting other beaches along HMB and Pacifica again tomorrow.

If any of you are looking for Morf grubs - Coastside # 2 has 'em :smt002

I like that 4000 Shimano Spirex, my two main spinning reels are the spriex.   My 4000 is my bassin rig (12#test) a 2000 for trout.
