How do you guys freeze cooked crab? In the shell? Whole? Out of the shell?

You can freeze them whole in the shell just like some stores do, but the taste won't be as good as fresh cooked crab.

For long term freezing, I'd shell the crab and vacuum pack the meat.  It's dynamite stuff to have when you're in the mood for crab cocktail, crab cakes, or any recipe that calls for crab meat.
