Had the week off, so I spent several days on the water looking for pre-spawn bass.  The weather was perfect and I was able to find groups of young males eager to spawn moving into shallow water.  A few females were on the edges of those areas, but no giants yet.  I did miss several fish that felt sizable, one broke me off and the others popped off after a few seconds, but that's fishing.  Most of the fish were 1-2 pounds, with an occasional fish up over 3.  The two biggest of my three day trip were this 3 pound 14 oz largie and this three and a half pound bass caught yesterday evening on a worm.

Be safe out there.

Those fish are looking healthy, can't wait to get out on the delta soon. We will have to hook up later in the spring.

Any more signs of stripers moving in yet?

Jeff...No, didn't see any stripers or striper-like activity.

Can I get a free bag of worms if I wear it in my next report?  :smt003
