Man that is a noisy lake!  That gravel yard was in full swing that day!  Got on the water about 10am.  My co-worker got to use my Advanced Elements inflatable, and  my buddy Dan finally arrived around 11:45 (car troubles) When I launched I headed to the cove across from the launch, and true, the fish were still jumping!  On my first loop in the cove, I hooked up! I was trolling a yellow 1/8oz rooster-tail.  It was running shallow.
My second came about 1/2hr later.  Same area.  Eventually we drifted around the point out of the wind and I tried tossing my bass worm to the bank, but had no luck with them.  My co-worker choose to yak to the end of the lake and back.
My 3rd trout came on the troll back to the launch, and a 4Th hookup (only to loose at the hull) came just off the launch!  It was a nice fish to darn it.

First time on the lake, I hope that on weekends it's a lot more quiet!  That darn mill put a damper on the tranquility big time!  Constant flow of trucks!
Maybe next time I'm on the lake I'll invest agate more of the lake!
Oh fish finder was showing fish everywhere!
I have a few pictures, just don't know how to post to forum yet.  Having one of them "add attachment or photo" buttons would be nice for us dummies that haven't figured it out yet.

glad you got into some fish! If you want bass, paddle towards the narrows and throw senkos by the sticks and downed trees. lot's of structure back there. keep an eye on the cormorants that are perched on the trees. They are known to drop shit bombs......

Thanks Mooch.  My co-worker in my inflatable made it to the end of the lake and I asked him about brush/cover in the water he said there was, but I didn't have time to head that way.  Was having fun with the trout.  I will be going back when, I finish this 10 day straight work marathon I just started tonight (night shift at that, Can you say overtime$$$?) hopefully the weather will hold a little longer for me!
Oh I got to try my new PFD on this trip.  I must say, I enjoy it! it's much more comfortable than my other vest.  Having my back open due to the flotation being high in back is a real comfort too!

Sam - the day we met you and you dad at the narrows, I hooked on to one by the tube. I caught him on a shad rap crank bait but it got off the hook. I'd say he was a 2-3 pounds. Green sparkle 6-inch senkos were the ticket last year.

back then, the water level was higher.....(last years pic)

Sam - I'm thinking of trying Del Valle next weekend. It's been a while since I've fished there. Hoping to find some small mouth bass and the elusive mega-striper :smt002

Ive never caught any stripers there, or seen any caught. But the last time I was there a guy said he caught a 6 inch striper trolling a needlefish.
