same ol same ol on the sturgeon battlefront , forced myself up at 630 after a night full of partying/drinking so i wouldnt be late to my own hookup , got to the belding launch zoo and found jim and jedmo already gearing up, jedmo gave me a few beers cuz he said thats a great hangover cure ,what a guy!

fished for almost 8 hours and it was dead..not 1 fish for me, i think jim caught a diaper but that was it  :smt010

highlight of the trip was pounding a few cold ones with the guys afterword...will get um next time fellas!

Thanks for posting the hookup Andy. Yeah, that's sturgeon fishing for you alright.
Sitting on the kayak for hours hoping and praying to catch one legal fish. But I
would rather do that than sit at home flipping channels. The Fleet will be next on
our target. Let's make it happen soon bro.

Thanks to Andy for the hookup and Jedmo for the chicken sandwich. One guy on a pb reported catching 4 shakers & one 24" striper but he drove all around to get them. All the other pb's I talked to got skunked. Jedmo & I helped out a lady driver that got her truck stuck in the ditch on the road going in so we'll have good luck next time. jim

Luck had nothing to do with it... I gave you the secret and you scored... just like I said. Don't make me think it was a fluke...

i dont like to brag but last year i lost count at 8 keepers for myself so that number may be around 11 or 12 , when people ask i just say 9  to keep it simple, thats not including all the other fish caugth by others on my boat (including "jai boi") most of these fish were caught in the spring when the water temp started rising to about 58 degres n up, in 2006 we had a bunch of tropicle storms that put the water temps  up around there in the middle of january , people still talk about how good that year was for sturgeon but really havnt fgured out why ,even keith fraser assumes it was because the rain alone, this year we are having a gang of rain but has it made the bite bust wide open? waters too cold still, im NOT saying that winter time cant have it moments though , things like a herring spawn or big tides can really turn the bite on no matter how cold it is , you guys that have hooked up wernt lucky , just on top of your game , IMO its a real acomplishment to catch one in the winter

for the record guys im not a scientist, just a beer guzzling knucklehead from pittsburg who loves fishing for these beast

Eh, this pretty much describes a number of scientists I know  :smt044

You're more scientific than you give yourself credit for B&B, that paragraph has real world info in it.
