Awesome afternoon on the water at Berryessa.  First thing I see is a beautiful Bald Eagle, but I could not get close enough for a great pic using the blackberry camera!   Did not see any signs of fish, but the lake has risen so much in two weeks I am not surprised.  Looking forward to warmer water soon!  Off to dinner soon, so I will let the pictures tell the story

Looks like a great day OTW. Did you target only bass? I plan on hitting that lake next week, but for trout. Your blackberry takes better pictures than mine!

Does not look too muddy. Fish are at least 25-35 ft deep I think.

Zin, are there any water front campsites open at Berryessa? Would be nice to have a fish n' chill there.

Been a long time since I hit that lake,
But it looks like a great day on the water.
Thanks for the pics.

In at 2 pm out at 4:30, targeted only bass with a broken back rapala, a lucky craft crank bait and a power worm with no weight.  These pictures are from Lake Hennessey which is on my way home.

Regarding campsites I am not sure as it is only 40 minutes door to ramp for me!  Also the feds (Reclamation) closed down almost all concessions a few years ago, and abruptly had the vendor that was supposed to take it all over disappear.  The area has been so screwed over by this you can not believe it!  Imagine owning a business or even just a home up there and having the feds basically pull the plug on all vendors.  Did stop at Turtlerock store for a bloody mary, new 2010 license (forgot that all I has was a mexican license!) and their famous egg rolls.   I always try to spend money while I am up there because I feel so bad for the merchants that have tried to hang on through this.  It just feels so good to fork over my $60 plus bucks for the 2 rod license to the agency that is doing little to nothing besides closing fishing areas and endless studies!

Sturgeon fishing is still good around MBF but Stripers fishing is slow!
