How heavy are those pots? You were able to pull it al the way up, huh? Snagging a bunch of dungies...those are small odds, and maybe even a  better catch than a salmon! What happened to the pot?
May the fish be mighty and the seas be meek...

I agree.  I bet you'd hammer any of SoCal's toughest guys in a hardcore ocean kayak fishing duel.  :smt021

Very nice job. What kind of kayak have you got there?

How do you like the Tarpon 160? Im in the market for a new kayak. Ive got a Malibu Extreme. Its incredibly stable but a bit sluggish and slow when you take it offshore - the bottom is just too flat. Last spring I took it some 3 - 4 miles offshore out at Santa Cruz to go after salmon and basically pooped out after the paddle. I want a kayak thats faster, longer, more sleek to go after salmon bites 3 mi plus offshore.

Im thinking about getting the Tarpon 160 or possibly something like the Capehorn 170.

Have you ever thought about rigging a sit in inside touring kayak for salmon fishing? How fast is that Tarpon 160???

By the way, love that Outback. Thats my dream car.
