Fished Malibu with Adam From Santa Barbara.
Used my 5/8oz krocodile with a tip a squid and still no Halibut on that setup.  I have caught them only on the 1oz Kroc.   :smt017  Better luck next week.

What is helping me is this book,  "How to Catch a Trophy Halibut" at http://www.halibut.net/halibut-book-orders.htm.  This book is giving me some ideas on how to catch these Halibuts.  Today I tried a teaser with a strip of Halibut skin (from 2 weeks ago).  It did land me a nice size Sugar Bass.   :smt020

The Halibut I did catch was on a FT.  This happened with 20 minutes from the start of the fishing day.  Gilled and Gutted on my kayak, because I knew I would be on the water for a couple more hours.  I am still investigating if 5/8oz krocodile can land me a Halibut.
