Not inside the second wall where the boats are moored, but in the body of water to the east of the boat launch.

Right behind the Beach House there is a stretch of sandy beach; I think some folks launch kayaks there too...  Can I enter from there and dive inside that harbor just to practice diving?  I imagine water would be dead calm and visibility should be OK when the sun is out...

You can but its super shallow (like 5-7') for a long ways out, vis will be bad because of the tidal movements and surge in there and the place is crazy polluted so prepare for sore throats, and sinus infections.

..........agarcia is just an ex-kayaker

Yup.....A O.K.  :smt002 and keep a dive flag visible.  Nobody will know what it means and they just might run you over on their way to check out the dive flag but at least you'll be legal  :smt001

Agarcia, wusup! You are right, I guess boaters are too drunk to notice the flags. Think they will notice this one?

And the outside breakwater wall may still hold an anchor I cut off about 1992.   :smt013
