I installed an 8" on my Quest.  There is a spot on the back of my hull that has a hobbie logo, that fit the 8 inch perfectly, like it was meant to be there.  I placed the outer ring in there, took a sharpie, and made dots where the screws were meant to go, and drew around the inner part of the ring.  Next I took a center punch and staked where I wanted my holes to go. Rechecked everything (measure twice and cut once).  I took the high speed dremel out with a cutting bit, and went around traced outline and cut that out, placed my ring in and screwed it, with some silicone sealant around the ring that goes in the hull.  secured it all together with stainless hardware, and stainless nyloc nuts.  It came out pretty decent.  (sorry no pics, as this happened after I drowned the camera in texas).

All Revo's do come with the rear 8" hatch installed. Where did you pick up the yak?

Oops..my bad.  I have revo on the brain!  I meant the Quest.  Trying to make mine a little more usefull.  I've been really looking at the Revo lately, trying to talk myself into one.

Thanks
