Left the Kayak at home and rented a boat at Chabot today with my regular fishing buddy.  Trolled nightcrawlers behind a flasher from 0745 to 1530.  We ended up with 8 trout, I was lucky enough to catch 5.  The largest was 5-1/2 lbs.  The others were all large-size planters at 14+ inches (see pix).  We only had one by 11 AM, so no need to hit it too early.  Best fishing was around Raccoon Point.

Good luck and Merry Christmas.

Chabot can be finicky; going on/off the bite. Glad you nailed!
