Slow day on Melones/ non yak on my bday

Took the Jon boat out hoping to find a bow or two, nada. Launched at Glory hole and trolled to Tuttletown ramp, then to the dam, then to the spillway and around in Angles cove. Trolled Rapalas, Kastmasters and everything between. Even dragged the downrigger around at different depths. EVEN tipped the Kasmasters and spinners with nightcrawlers. Just not my day lol.  Found one spotted bass and that was it. Maybe next time.

Jeff, were you there today? I was out there with my wife in the yaks. No fish in the boat. But I caught one off the bank while loading up, around 5 inches long.

Thanks for the reports.  I was going to head up tomorrow.  I think I will wait and with Glory Hole bait shop before I make the trip.
