i think a hobie sport could do pretty much the same thing a mini x can do, except with the rudder and pedals.  the mini x might be an overall better fishing boat but the sport is not bad.  i can't wait to put mine on a river.

the i9s is good and pretty tough too, but a little out of my price range at the moment.
The problem I've found with the sport is the legroom/overall room and weight. The  i9s has the room, light weight (39#s), and stability for rivers. They are both the same price BTW. The miniX is an awesome yak for those who want to paddle or can't afford the Hobies.

I am 6'5'' and weigh 240, and have gone up to 265 during football season
Everybody should have the opportunity to fish

they are the same price unless you can find a sport used.  its hard to find a i9s used for sure.  i have seen a couple of i12s (almost bought one) but not near my price range of <$900.

Yeah there are more sports on the market than the i9s. In some more time I think the word will get out on them. Not only is it good in rivers but I also use it for bass fishing in small lakes since you can stand or kneel and sight fish.

I'm 6'6" 230 and the i9s rides nice.
