I'll join you on that quest for stripers. I will bring extra rain gear because it may decide to sprinkle. Will also bring smoked halibut for sharing. 7:30 works for me, see you all then

I fished Big Break yesterday.  Winds were 20mph + with a good chop in the am.  PM was near perfect.  I fished about four hours and found one school of stripers.  I was trolling the river at the opposite end of the channel from Big Break Marina.  The fish were in the channel (15-20 ft) next to the old wreck.  I picked up one fish and that was my only hit all day.
I launched at Lauritzen’s Harbor at the foot of the Antioch Bridge.  They are kayak friendly and have a nice facility that includes a state-of-the-art fish cleaning station, a large lawn area, and a real restroom with a hot shower.  Launch fee for a yak is $6.  Launching is little more challenging than Big Break.
Last time we fished I had a red Outback.  I just switched to a Revolution.  I think I am hooked on the  Revo.  Keep me posted of future trips to the Break.  It is one of my favorite spots in the Delta.

You may be grumpy but I'd like to meet you anyway. My wife says I'm grumpy, but I don't believe her. Post a 'hookup' @ your favorite launch on a weekday Mon or Tue preferred and we will see who is grumpy. dave...
