HMB. I was thinking of a Thurs or Friday trip. But I haven't looked at the WX. You may be able to luck out and even get some inside the breakwall

When we were at Tomales bay Friday afternoon several people were out dropping traps right in the bay.  There's a deep hole south of Hog Is, it's just a little south of the red bouy south of the Is,  a fair number of crab trap bouys were bobbing around in that area.  I was fishing on the anchor for sharks and couldn't keep bait on the hook more than about 5 minutes because of the crab, pulled up several but they were all pretty small.

Just an FYI....

If you plan on crabbing in HMB - keep an eye on your traps - lot's of thievery going on!

I don't think the kayak will fit in their crab tank.

A few years back, I wanted to play a trick on one of our guys (Chris / Kingfisher)...I had plans on pulling his trap, keeping his crabs and leave a six pack of Heineken inside his trap and bail  :smt002 Unfortunately, I could not identify his trap floats  :smt012

LM? Swells won't be a problem in Lake Merritt. Are you after hermit crabs? :tongue5:
