Never fished the Bean, and this veteran is taking the day off.  Anyone care to join me and show me the ropes?

rockfish closed at bean unless you want to paddle all the way down to pigeon point.  for that you might as well just launch at pigeon point.

Sorry, no rockfish north of Pigeon point until 2010. The season closed on Halloween.

You are still legal to fish south of the lighthouse until 11/15/09.

The stretch of coastline south of pigeon point is very promising. Easy launch at the lighthouse too. It may be worth considering.

I have been pumping my shrimp way too much lately!

You game to go Joe?  I will fish it if you come along, I will ask Gabe, but if not, I will do Santa Cruz and head out to the yellow can north of the pier and fish along the kelp there too.

if you do Pigeon point you could also drop crab pots

Was going to keep it a secret, but I spent a good deal of the weekend in the hospital, and go see the neurosurgeon on Friday.  I am possitive, he is going to say my kayak fishing is done.  My L5, S1 is gone, totally ruptured, and the L4, L5 is worse that it was before.  I just want one more trip out before he tells me it is over for a while at least.  So Wed it is.  Would love to go this weekend, but I know I cant, we are going to San Diego later this month, and I need to save money for the charter boats.

 i got a injured spine snowboarding years ago in Canada... after thr crash my lower mid back was purple and swollen like a softball... never got it check out i was scared..

but i feel lots of pain in that area often, bad pain, now im never going to the doc..

Best spot if you're willing to drive could be Stillwater, I might even make that drive myself on Wednesday.
