Fished from shore in Benicia for about 4 hours on the incoming.  Got one about 26" right before the slack tide came and killed the bite.  Got it on frozen shad.  Got tons of bites from diaper stripers all day long on the shad. Tried a bullhead for about an hour with no success.

Congrat on the keeper.  Lots of shakers out there right now, hope it will improve in a couple weeks!  Thanks for the report.

I launched right across from you in a non-yak.  We went up and down passed the fleet and back. There was 4 of us and 8 poles and we didn't get a single keeper.  One of the guys even tried all sorts of bait and rigs.  Mudsucker, bullheads, frozen shad, eel, roe and cut herring.  But nada!  What a sad day for fishing but it was a nice day just to be OTW!  Thanks for sharing your story.

Where the hell are the stripers hiding?  Could it be that months of party boat live baiting in the bay and "boat limits" have taken a toll?
